I had heard that they were short about 20 amatuers for the tourney and was wondering what decision was going to be made on getting more amatuers for the tourney. I heard today from a very good source that at least one of the PWT pros is on the amatuer roster for this tournament. I did go through the rules and it is open to the public so I should not be too surprised but just didn't think it was fair to the other amatuers for this to be taking place. Your thoughts on this matter.

Hi, ristorapper. The rules of the RCL say that the Am can not offer advise about how to fish nor can they give advise about any previous fishing experience there, seems to me that IF any Pro's are fishing it that that would pretty much hog tied them? They'd be as much at the mercy of the luck of the draw as any of the other Am's. However, they filled it, I'm just glad the show's going to go on :-)
To all the wonderful people that will be fishing the RCL that I know, I'd like to wish the Best Of Luck and bring home some bacon, Boys. (And Juls :-))

I wonder if your info is correct .I have a friend who is still on the waiting list. If they were short he should have been called I would think. Don't know !!!As of this morning he is still waiting (4-10-01)

The waiting list was developed last tuesday after the RCL offered the rebate to previously signed co-anglers. If you could find a co-angler to use your name you got the rebate. The co-angler spots filled in no time. At that point they were still looking for pro's. I talked to sonny wednesday morning and he was still looking for pro's. If the PWT pro signed as a co-angler then he is missing out on a pro spot.
