Hope to fish reef area Thursday, usually launch at Catawba State Park but would like to avoid the RLC crowd. Where's another good place in the reef area to launch a 26 ft. boat

Flick;
You can launch at the county ramp on the other side of Catawba.
That ramp is on the East Rd. (rt. 53)

You can launch at Turtle Creek Marina on Humphrey Road about 2 - 3 miles east of Davis Besse power plant. That area is a lot closer to the reef area.

I'll second the ramp at Turtle Creek Campground/Marina. This is a couple miles west of Davis Besse on Route 2. West of Wild Wings, take Humphrey Road to the North. TC is on the left. For tackle needs in the area Inland Marina probably has the best selection for both drifters and trollers. IM is a little further west past Fenwicks. Entrance is from Route 2.

My boat draws 30". Launched at TC no problem. Ramp furthest to the west is best according to a guy that has probably launched 50 boats this year.
Good Luck,
Steve
