Hey, BE. I hope you and all family/freinds are OK. I heard about the anticipated water levels in Breckenridge and across the river in Wap, SD.
Hope yer boat is floating and dry! Good luck bro!

Thank's AquaMan, I am personally in no danger of loss of home and property this time around, but many folks are still fighting that possibility.
The Good news is the levels are temporarily peeked and are slowly on the fall, but the Bad news is there is rain in the forecast and we could do without that.
In 97 I was laid up and was not able to help out much so it feels good to join in on the community efforts during the present 2001 flood watch.
The support services like the Red Cross and community voluntarism is a amazing and wonderful thing, they need a big hand as they keep the crews on the move. They are Great folks who never get enough credit!

We went to Grand Forks to help clean up after the flood of '97.
Really impressed by the way Red Cross and Salvation Army helped the people. You can help them by sending financial contributions. After we saw them in action, they became our
charities of choice.

BE, ain't it amazing the problems too much or too little water can cause? Here in the rain forest of Seattle, they are talking drought and water restrictions this summer. No snow in the mountains means low reservoirs for water use and tough times for salmon runs and little hydroelectric power. Good luck with your situation.

Thanks all!
Yup, we live in a land of plenty, plenty cold, plenty windy, plenty hot, plenty wet and on occasion plenty dry.
They say if you don't like the weather, stick around it will change.
What we are nervous about is the rain in the forecast, 1-2" so it may complicate the efforts a bit?
The good folks on the Minnesota River have a few flood problems too by the looks of it, hope they can hold it back.
The rivers do like to through a temper tantrum once in a while. But I still love this region, wet or dry.

BE, Dont forget Plenty of Walleye and my father in law would also add Plenty of Lefse & Lutefisk!
We gotta think positive around here. Sandbags are starting to fly for those along the river in Fargo/Moorhead also. I think most will be fine except those few whole are along the river's low spots. In 97 the main problem was overland flooding.

Yup, the overland has been a big complication from the Wild Rice and the Boise de Sioux.
I will wonder up to Fargo and help out bagging after my last class today, see how this old body holds up. Too much ice cream & lefsa over the winter, EH.

Look at the bright side - all that run-off will turn those Piggies into Sows!

Another alternative solution BE is to get in that there boat don't ya know and haul in some of those big cats and the river will go down a little, ya!!
All funnin' aside, best of luck in your situation and I felt for you when the rain decided to miss us here in Mandan/Bismarck today and head your way. God be with ya.
