Hi Sue,
I guess I'm a bit of a slow learner. I want to make sure that I do this right. I have the same setup that was mentioned in earlier posts, a 12 volt system w/ two batteries hooked up parallel. I understand that I should get the 2620 and hookup one set of wires to the starter and one to set of wires to the cluster of two batteries. The confusion comes on how to hook the two wires to the two batteries in parallel. Should I hook the + and - leads from the charger to one battery or is it better to put + lead from charger to one of the batteries and then the - lead from the charger to the second battery?

LAST EDITED ON Apr-10-01 AT 10:21AM (CST)[p]Parallel is parallel -- it doesn't matter, so long as you keep everything parallel.

In this configuration all the (-) points are electrically the same, and all the (+) points are electrically the same.

Sue is gone this week but I can help you. Just hook them up to 1 battery. Your parellel lines will carry to the other and the 2 will act like one, charging and discharging at the same rate. Make sure you keep an eye on the fluid levels in the 2 parellel batteries.
