I am looking for rod holders that would clamp to the seatpost. I know I have seen them before.
Does anyone know where I can locate them?
Has anyone used them with success?

I have a Cabelas rod holder for 8 rods and it fits in the seat base. I just started using it and have had no problems so far. I have thought about how it is going to stay in the base at 40 MPH though! There is no locking device like on a seat. Hope this helps. JJ

I boxed mine back up and sent it back to Cabela's. Without the locking tab it is useless. I ordered the Rod Wrangler from this site, looks sweet in the ad, hope it pans out better than the one from Cabela's.

JKJ - Have you used the bass pro rod holders? Do they work well? What holds the rod in place?

I have not used the Bas Pro one. I made my own out of PVC tubing. One three-way piece that will slide over your seat post. Two 45 degree angle pieces with sections of PVC tubing and your set.

I found that I did'nt use them and they now sit on a shelf in the garage.
