I was looking at some pictures and features of the new Lund Mr Pike 17. Is it my impression or has Lund really improved this boat? It looks almost like a Pro V. I would appreciate any comments, positive or negative, on this boat. What would be a good motor combo and price for this rig? Thanks

I run the 99 model, and it doesn't look to me as if they made any significant upgrades for 2000 other than motor rating. The 99 is rated for 130HP and the 2000 is rated for 135, which allows you to get into the Opti-Max. I have the 125 Merc and a 9.9 Four stroke. The 2000 Pro-V has been changed to the IPS hull that the MrPike had last year. The Pro-V has a 150HP (I believe) rating and a bit nicer interior.

I run the MrPike on extensively on Green Bay and Winnebago as well as some smaller lakes. The width really is nice and the boat rides absolutley dry for aluminum. The boat runs 48-50MPH on the GPS with one person and 45-48 with a full load. I am extremely pleased with the performance and everything about it. If you have any further questions please let me know.
