Thanks for all the help so far and i need a little more. I will be at the ranger dealer tomorrow to order and this is what i have settled on: 681 with a 100 hp yamaha 4 stroke and matching kicker 4 stroke, keel gaurd, rear platform, 24 volt pinpoint with pinpoints at the console and bow, removable trailer tongue, and the ranger trailer, metallic two tone, two standup pedastal seats, ranger cover.
What should I expect for the real delivery time too?
OK ----- what do I look for financial damage?

Cost? Alot. But what the **** look what your going to have. If you can efford it, go for it. I like my boat but I think I might like yours better.
Good Luck!!! D.R.

Can't help on price but like Dakota Red said if you can afford it, go for it. I have a 620 and love it. Look at it as you're not buying a boat but joining a family

Umm, 14 weeks. Unheard of for this time of the year. Your dealer may have blocked out some dates so you may be able to get it sooner.
Congrats on the new boat. As far as money is concerned, email me if you want to know.

Congratulations, Mike! Sounds like a great rig. I have a 1997 681VS with a Evinrude 115 Intruder and really like it. Fast enough, handles rough water, and most importantly, fishes great. I know you'll find the folks at Ranger great to deal with if there are ever any real problems.

Well are you a proud owner of a Ranger yet or are you still in sticker shock?

yep --- i own one and when the salesman hit the bottom line I have no idea how long it was before i could breathe again. Was able to get a good trade price out of my old boat so that did help a little. Still -- can't wait for it to get here - really looking forward to it!

Miket, did you order the kicker bracket or the Panther Unit... Just curious, Have a small interest in the Panther area and was wondering if it was brought up as an option.
Just Curious.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-18-00 AT 05:06AM (CST)[p]EO: Not familiar with your terms but decided not to go with a kicker at this time. Decided to wait and see what I can do trolling with the large motor and pin point system. dealer did not bring up this discussion but did make it sound like it was quite a chore to use and "hook and rehook" any type of a kicker steering system. Priced out a 9.9 yamaha and associated hardware and total it was an add of $3,000 (isn't that kind of pricey?). sorry - miket!
