Minn Kota Question............

Hi all...after 5 years using my old Motorguide electro-motor, I got yesterday my new one...a Minn Kota 50t maxxum...Wow it sure looks great, and can't wait to try it out. Now here is the Question....With the motor came a bundle of black wire with in the middle a fuse...(never had that with my Motorguide)I looked in the manual, but could not find out what to do with this wire or how to use it........Can anyone help me out here ?? Thanks in Advance..

Frenk, I'm not certain, but I believe it is used to control interference with electronics (for grounding the trolling motor to the boat). Check out the bundle of pieces of paper that came with your motor, one of these sheets describes the use for this little black wire (I don't think it is covered in the instructions). I received one with my motor as well and have never used it.
