Does anybody have any comments or experience with Crestliner boats, either good or bad? I am looking at the Sportfish or the Tournament Series.Thanks.

For us Crestliner has been a leading seller in the sportfish. It is a big boat and layout for fishing is very effective. Out of our Crestliner and Alumacrafts in the walk thru's Crestliner out sells Alumacrafts because of its size and fishability. Right know they have a great warranty also 20 years on the hull and 3 years on the interior stuff one of the best in the industry. They have been a good company for us. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me or visit our web sight at www.lacannesmarine.com I hope this helps Destry

I think they are a fine boat. Got a '99 1750 Sportfish w/115 Ficht and am really
pleased with it. Great boat to fish from with just myself or 2-3 others. Handles
well and is quite stable. Good layout for both fishing and skiing/tubing. I looked
at Lund, Smokercraft, Alumacraft, etc. and liked Crestliner. Still do.
Major part of decision is to find a top quality dealer who will stand behind what
they sell. All the top makes are good products, but all need a good dealer.
Good luck/let me know if I can answer any questions.

Ditto Fitz's reply. I also have a 99 1750sf but with the io. It's a fantastic boat, handles rough water well, is comfortable and is a pleasure to fish out of. There are a lot of good boats out there but for my money, you won't find a better value.

I purchased a 2000 1850 Sportfish in Sept. and was able to have it on the water a little before ice. The thing leaked (still leaks) bad from every location in the hull that had been penitrated. I have had it back about 3 times. Am told that most boats leak some. I don't accept this and it will go back in the spring. I believe the boat will be great when fixed.

I've got a 2000 1850 SportFish I/O with the 4.3 V-6 and a 15hp 4-stroke kicker in the "pocket". Really has been a wonderful boat for all purposes. Have had no complaints and dealer service has been wonderful. It has a large livewell, but I still need a bigger one! We've landed some salmon this year in the 30-45 lb class and have had to put them on a rope over the side instead! Wouldn't trade this for any other boat right now. I've owned Crestliners since 1977 and haven't had a bad one yet. Good luck in your hunt!
