Monark Man

Looking at a Monark Commander 176SC and was wondering if anyone has experience with this boat. It's all welded, has a 95 inch beam, is wood-free, and is rated for 150 hp. I'm thinking of putting a 115 Yamaha 4-stroke on it. Any feedback would be helpful.
Thanks!

I just test drove a monark 176 DC commander on the columbia river in 35 mph winds and I was so impressed I bought one. It has incredible handling, I suppose it is due to the hull design and the set back transom. The SC is the same boat except for the console. I tested it with the 135 Optimax and it was like a RAGING animal. Even in the choppy conditions I could run it wide open and it would do 50 mph into or with the wind and we stayed dry as well.
Personally I ordered a 150 Opti just because it is the max HP and this way I will never second guess my choice.
The other features I like are the storage compartments, more than any other boat I have seen.
Also it has the widest beam of any comparable aluminum boat. I din't like the top though and will be getting a custom one.
The dealer I use has a SC 176 Burgundy with a 135 Opti, both 1999 models new for under $18,000. Someone ordered it but never took ownership. If interested it is at Cascade Marine in Portland, OR
