has anybody used the motorguide & pinpoint combination yet,how does it compare to the pinpoint motors & does the motorguide have one transducer or the 5 like the pinpoint. thanks

The MotorGuide Excel series uses a single Pinpoint compatable transducer. My Motorguide contact tells me that they took Pinpoint's steering technology and improved it for the Excel by making it more robust. I am running the 36v Excel bowmount but I haven't had it in the water yet. JC
