I'm off next week and was considering taking family from Cle. to Cabela's. Is this a worthwhile trip with 3 kids (2,7,11)? Looks like next week too cool to fish and looking for diversion for kids off from school.

We had an antique tackle show there a few weeks ago, I hate stores, I loved it there. Your kids should like the aquarium, mounts, and food, you should like everything else!! Your wife may even enjoy the camo leather furniture department and the art prints. You will have no problem spending a few hours there, nice ride from Cleveland.

I've been in several of the Cabelas stores. The one at Dundee Mi. is well worth the trip. I make a couple of trips a year to stock up and see the sites. Wear some good walking shoes, you will need them.

Great place for the family to visit and shop. I have yet talked to anyone that did not enjoy it! I go at least once a year.

I went to Cabelas and found the store to be very atractive. The aquarium is cool and the wild life and fish mounts are awsome. That being said it is a long drive from Cleveland and the prices are the same everywhere. If you need alot of big ticket items order them thru the catalog and you won`t pay sales tax. Delivery charge, yes, but if you order enough it is worth it. Good luck and have fun.

I have not been to that particular store, but I go to Owatonna's Cabela's at least once a year and make an overnight trip out of it. I usually take my wife & kids in to see the mounts and the aquariums while I quickly browse (and put ideas in my wife's head). Then I take the family to a hotel where they can play in the pool and maybe take a nap while I spend 5-6 hours of shopping and checking out what is in the bargain cave that I can not live without. Then go out for dinner and if I saw some big dollar thing that day I wanted to think over for a while I might go back with the family in the morning to buy it too.

Your kids will love it! My kids (11 & 13 yrs.)love going there. We live about half hour North from there in Michigan, so we go all the time. Make sure that you bring a camera to take pictures of the mounts and plan on having lunch or dinner there to. The exit is #17 on US 23. My wife is from Solon, Ohio and brother inlaw lives in bainbridge.

YOUR KIDS WILL LOVE ALL THE MOUNTED ANIMALS AND FISH. AS FOR YOU, FIGURE ON A $100.00 AN HOUR SHOPPING TRIP.

I live 90 minutes from the store and have already been there 5 times. Just can't get enough of just walking around and looking at everything. Like the other posts say, be sure to bring your camera.

I guess Bass Pro in Michigan is nothing compared to Cabela's??

Never been to Cabela's yet, although I'm less than an hour away. I'll have to go and see it. Thanks...
