225 Merc. Optimax on Lunds 2025, long or standard shaft motor?

Has anybody ran the standard shaft Mercury 225 Optimax on Lunds Pro V 2025? I was told that I may not have to order the XL long shaft offshore motor for this 25" transom. Any thoughts?

Hey DrWalleye,

What does your dealer say? Did you contact Lund? I know several anglers running this boat that have the offshore motor. They all tell me that because of the high transom they needed the longer shaft.

You need the 25"

[Famous]

25in transom requires long shaft off-shore. Only difference is decal, length of shaft, and off-shore has fresh water flushout conection on it.
