NEW TO SITE? NEED HELP!!!

Yesterday was the first time to this site! I made a post on the fishing reports about the firing exerises at Camp Perry and I should of posted my question here!!!(sorry, new to computers also !!!)Would the Coast Guard have times & dates,do they have a web site? Are there any public launching ramps around Toussaint River& Crane Creek??? That I don't have to run very far to get to lake??? Thanks for all your help !!!! This is a great site !!!!!

If you call for Camp Perry firing range on channel 16 they will respound and give you the info you need on when there firing. You can launch at Fenwick or Inland Marina with no problems. They are just down from Crane creek and Toussaint.You'll be fishin in 20 mins. The only problem is Rt.2 is under construction and there is detours, but give yourself a couple extra minutes and you'll get there.

No website that I am aware of for firing schedule. Like the others said, just call for Camp Perry Range Officer on Channel 16 of your VHF radio. They'll direct you to another channel and give you the schedule. Firing generally only affects Area ONE, (smaller area closer to shore) so you should not have a problem with firing affecting your fishing launching from the West side of range.
I'm not sure about Tousaint river launches but the ramps Airwave suggested are on Turtle Creek just west of tousaint river. Turtle Creek Marina & Campground's ramps are in good shape with plenty of water. Lots of 30' inboard charters were launched there.
DETOURS on SR2 coming from the EAST: take route 2 until you get to the Citgo Gas Station/Floros restaurant. Veer off of route 2 to your left on Tousaint East. Take Tousaint East to the first stop sign, which is state route 19. Take 19 North till it deadends into route 2. Turn right/east and your back on route 2 with your pick of marinas and ramps within 1 mile.
If coming from the WEST. Take route 2 to Lemon Road. Turn right/south on Lemon. Take Lemon till it deadends into Duff Washa. Turn left/east on Duff Washa. Take Duff Washa to first stop sign and turn left/north on State Route 19. Take 19 till it deadends into state route 2 and turn east/right. Take your pick of marinas/ramps. Both detours only take you 5 minutes out of your way.
