I just got home from the RCL tourney on Erie. The RCL is the best tournament trail going right now. Their rules are cut in black and white with NO gray areas and Sonny Reynolds holds them to the letter. Their safety first attitude showed great concern for this sport and all of its competitors. We watched 17 teams go home after day 2 was canceled and I know most of us felt bad for them. Day 3 was held for 3 hours leaving a little over 5 hours to find clean water and get your fish. Even though I too went home after day 3, I got to lead one of the most prestigious walleye tournaments in the nation for the first two days, against some of the best walleye anglers in the nation (some day that will be a story for my grandchildren). Then on day 3 with the day cut short and bad fishing conditions they came back and showed exactly why they are the best. There is no shame in being out fished by any one of these fishermen. Their competitive spirits never faultered and my hat is off to them. I wish them all the best of luck on day 4.

You are so right!!!
I got the pleasure of pre-fishing with Rod on Tuesday before the tournament started and He is one of the nicest fishermen I have ever had the pleasure to share a boat with!
I was also to be paired with him on Day 2 which never happened unfortunately.
Rod you are welcome in my boat any day, and I hope to fish with you again soon.

everything was paid out as advertised and i only look for this tournament to grow from here. i am gald to be entered in the final 3 because it think it will get to the point they will not be wanting to look for fisherman (women) for long. because of the fact they paid out, and the way it was run, they are showing committment to the anglers and the community.
great job sonny, and to all 154 anglers in the first round. see you all on the Missip in a couple of weeks.

Rod, i agree with you completely, it is a first class act, no maybe's, and we will check and let you know. I also commend them for the safety first fact. i have lived here all my life by lake erie, and i have seen what it can do, and these guys did all the right things pertaining to the safety of the fishermen. As someone else said, it is a class act. Sonny, it was a pleasure to meet you and also many of the pros.I fished with a young man form Stevens Point Wi,named Jason Przekurat, jason i thank you for a very good trip, we did well the first day, and tried the friday too, it kind of lets me know that there is a real future to the fishing with young people like him fishing the circuts, he is a real class act, good luck in all the future tourneys Jason. I also met Eric Olson, also a very nice man, sorry about the 2 ounces difference Eric.(lol) i met so many that i cant remember, but it was a real pleasure just to be there with them. good luck to all of the guys. good luck and good fishin.
