Well? What do feel is the best one out there for our small kicker motors so we don't have to reach so far to adjust the steering and throttle?
Thanks
p.s. The dealer didn't carry them.
You would think the manufacturers would get in on making those, as most people probably need or want them.

I know that minnkota makes one that would probably fit most kicker motor handles. It's about 30 bucks. I built one out of pvc tubing and a stainless steel hose clamp for less than $5. Just get the length of tubing you need and then use a hacksaw to cut several slits lengthwise in the tubing so that the hose clamp can tighten to the size of the tiller handle. Works great. Bret
I have used the Helmsmate model with a universal joint for the past three years. The universal is of worth since it allows you to use a push-pull motion to steer if you are seated away from the motor. it can also be locked into the fixed straight position , if that suits your needs.
There are a few to pick from out ther, they all look adequate. Good luck.

I just bought a Trolling Buddy from Cabelas. I haven't trolled with it yet, but it is of great quality and is versatile. You can lock it down to be totally straight or you can use the joint that lets you steer from practically anywhere in the boat. It was about 30 bucks.

I guess I'll have to go by Bass Pro here near the house and take a look. The Cabelas isn't done being built yet.
