I have heard quite a bit of good info on circle hooks for Lindy Rigging minnows. I have used them successfully and have increased my hooking percentage on the river. Have any of you used them in other situations? I was wondering how they would work slip bobbering with minnows/leaches/crawlers or on spinner harnesses. Any advice as far as sizes or other? Thanx!

I haven't had any luck finding them, where did you find them?

I bought a couple larger sizes (Eagle Claw Nickel Teflon series) at Bass Pro in Gurnee last year. Bass Pro has them in the catalog, but I found them to be out of stock for a indeterminate amount of time. I was in "Lunkers" in southern Michigan on my way back from Lake Erie and bought a bunch of sizes. They are expensive, but my experience with Lindy Rigs has been astounding. Even when you feed the fish for a while, they don't seem to swallow the hook. All hookesets are in the corner of the mouth. That makes them well worth the $$$

they work great .the fish hooks themsleves and no hook sets are required .i have use them for years in salt water and they work great on cut bait when fishing for cat fish .when fishing with worms they dont work the best .walleyes take them and they normally hook themselves in the lip . use them when you can .

I found the VMC circles at Gander Mountain. I use them on a sort of "Dead Rod" system. 4 ft snell off walking sinker or on A three way rig.
I don't have to watch it as close that way! Rod usually just starts pounding in rod holder. I have time to put both jiging rods down and reel em in. Haven't had one hooked anywhere but corner of lip yet! I guess the secret is out!
Great fishing to all, <;{{{{{<<( Mr.Pike

I just picked up a full set of circle hooks by Gammi - #8 - 00.

These were readily available at Gander mountain this spring.

p.s.
Typical razor sharp characteristics of Gammi hooks.

Take care

Dear Lund_Dude, Yes they work in any ather application, I especially like them trolling spinner rigs on 3-ways in deeper water. People go to a lot of trouble finding them, but you can make your oun quite easily with aberdeen hooks. 2/0or 1/0 hooks bend into the shape you want so as you can create a circle hook of any size or configeration. Have fun with this--- No Fish

I was just thinking of trying them for L. Erie pearch jerking in the fall. has anyone tried this?
I usualy use tru-turns and out produce my fishing partners, similar concept. I guess if I find some in size 2 or 4 I will have to try it!
