The conditions are extremely dangerous and getting worse. There is not a fish or a tournament purse big enough to take the risk and fish there now. There are too many risk factors beyond human control. Don't be foolish and you will live to fish another day.

Fished the USFA Team walleye there Saturday
conditions were not good . Trees, dead heads, all kinds
of S**T coming down the river. On top of that the
river is nothing but mud. There was not one legal fish
brought in to the scale.

The Des Moines Register had an article in the Saturday paper, all the pools from Norhtern Iowa down looks like they wont crest for up to two weeks, some of them up to 20 feet high.Going to make for some tough tournaments the next few weeks.

See my post above re Dubuque MWC. AS to the poster who didn't use their name and said it wasn't bad yet I only have one thing to say,put all these teams lives in your hands and tell me you would put them out there. I grew up fishing in high water and this is a whole different animal. Just as a follow up the on- duty lockmaster told me the Corps was closing Pool 13 today and pool 12 on Tuesday. Lawrence

I AGREE THEY NEED TO CANCEL IT NOW. IF THEY HAVE THAT TOURNEY NEXT WEEKEND IT WOULD BE A DISASTER FOR THE MWC. THERE'S ALOT OF TOURNEY GUYS THAT ARE GOING TO CANCEL THIS WEEK ANYWAY. ONLY 60 BOAT IN TOURNEY BY TOURNEY TIME I CAN SEE ABOUT 25.

The MissWC club web site states that the event has been post poned. Also they have put a link up there for current river conditions in Dubuque.
