I seem to have a problem with my trim switch on the throttle. The trim on the motor works fine, however, the trim on the throttle control will work only part of the time. Usually only when the boat is just idling. It rarely works under full power.
Is there a short somewhere in the wiring? Has any one else had this problem? How difficult are the throttle controls to take apart? I can't remember for sure what brand I have and my boat is still in storage, but I think its a Quicksilver 3000 or something like that. Thanks in advance.

Dave I had the same problem a couple yrs ago found that the trim switch had shorted out in the throttle handle it had acctually melted part of the switch all I had to do was take off the top of handle to get to the switch then just take out the screws holding it in and unplug it then reverce to install the new switch hope this helps
