Pro Elite 2000 transom height

Getting conflicting information from dealers. The Pro Elite 2000 (20 ft) has in the past come with a 20 inch transom. The 2000 model 2000 (confusing, the Y2K 2000!) talks of a "25 inch transom for kicker motor." The engine spec sheet indicates XL shaft motors as options. OK, pretty clear, however, one dealer is pretty sure (almost certain?) that the Y2K model can be ordered with either transom.

Can anyone shed light on this issue?

And maybe a LS engine w/jackplate would work on the 25 inch transom?
