Thanks to all who replied about husky jerk baits. What is the deal with suspendots. How do you know when your lure has reached neutral bouyancy? What would it look like when sitting in the water. Nose up, down, or parallel?

The bait should be parallel, and not rise or sink.
Water density has some effect on the suspend characteristics of these lures.
If you are going to be doing this tuning at home in a 5 gallon bucket or acquarium, which works very well -- check the water temperature.
Reguate the water temperature to be somewhat similar to the expected fishing temperature.
i.e. some baits are used only in the warm summer weather, some baits are used only in the cooler spring and fall. Perhaps, you want some water temps set at 55 degrees and prhaps you want some set with a water temp set at 65 - 68 degrees.
If you check the suspend characteristics of these lures -- you will find that if they are perfectly suspended at 55 degrees -- they won't be properly suspended at 65 degrees.
When I set them -- I use a full 5 gallon bucket -- then I place the lure 1/2 the way down the bucket- I then add or delete suspend dots -- until the lure will stay in the middle of the bucket for at least 10-15 seconds.
Take care

p.s.
On many lures -- I don't like the original equipemnt hooks, so I change them. Some after market hooks are a bit lighter and some are a bit heavier -- so, I change the hooks before I balance the lures.
