I am looking at a 1996 Pro V 1775 dual console with a Yamaha 150hp. This boat does not have hydrolic/power steering. I remember seeing a Crestliner post a few days ago, with similar sized boat and motor, where this seemed to be an issue or problem. Anyone with a similar Lund set up that could comment on this? I also was wondering if the dual console configuration on a boat this size would result in cramped fishing conditions for three guys? Thanks.

My partner and I fish out of a 1775 with a Merc 115 and a single console. I've never had any problem steering the boat but then again I'm not sure how much difference the 150 would make.
In regards to the dual console, I think you would find that it would cut into your usable fishing space. Normally we fish two out of the boat with no problem, other than having to many rods laying around the boat. We have fished 3 out of our boat a number of times and still have had a great time. Is it possible to take the second console out without damaging the interior of the boat? Good luck with your decision. The 1775 is a very nice boat.

All i can tell you is that i dont think that it is a determining factor on weather or not to buy this boat or not,I don't think that you will be able to tell the dif, with or without hydrolic steering,at low speed, maybe. However the dual console thing is personal preferance,MY 1998 pro v se came both ways, after sitting in both my mind was made up,single console.what you get with the single is more room, not so cramped, your buddies will like the extra space as well.Take your time, sit in both, walk around, then make your dission,if you buy a boat to have for a long time be fussy, another thought, is it strictly a fishing boat? if so you might like the extra room,When i go by myself i take out the extra seats,With the dual console you cant do that, remember it's all up to personal preferance.the only thing that i don't like about a lund is the rod storage,VERY CRAMPED,other than that lund makes one **** of a boat, when they figure that problem out they will have the perfect fishing boat....GOOD LUCK hope this helped some, like to know how it works out for you,

I have a 1999 proV se 1775 dual counsul. it fishes great. The ride for the passenger is comfortable; and mine is usually my eight year old. I have a 115 40 - 45 mph I love it.
I have owned both the 1775 ProV and the 1890 ProV. My current 1890 has a Yamaha ProV150 and the no feedback steering standard with the boat. This is great. There is no need for hydrolic steering. I have no problems steering my rig.
As far as the dual console goes. I would not recomend it on the 1775, eats up to much room. This was one of the reasons I upgraded to the 1890. That I ordered the dual console on because space was not an issue. The boat was much larger.
