Recently I purchased gas for my 25HP Merc. from a station that I though sold only regular gas and not the reformulated type. It turned out to be reformulated, my fault for not noticing the change. My motor was running terrible so I checked for dirty filters, pinched lines, vent, and my fuel pump. The fuel pump diafram was all streched out from the reformulated gas. I went to a dealer for a new part and while I was there he told me that he has been seeing alot of water in the gas lately. My tank was empty when I filled it so I didn't think water would be the problem. I dumped out the remaining 4 gallons because I didn't want to run it through my new diafram. When I got to the end of the tank I could not belive it, there was at least 1/2 gallon of water in my gas. I'm not sure who I should report this to, but if your having engine problems like rough running, stalling or choking out, check your gas. Anyone else with similar problems? Thanks
