I'm considering new gear for my Pro-Sport 1700. The Pin-Point may be too sophisticated and spendy for this "Ole" Snagger. Does anyone have any experience or info. about "Bottom Line" in general or B.L. Tournament Master HR specifically, also opinions needed about Minn Kota "Genesis"? THANKS!

I bought a HR and tried it, the electonics work great but you can't see the screen very good. At
night the back lighting sucks and during the day I had to adjust the contrast every half hour,
and then the right side of the screen was lighter then the left.
I sent it back and got the NCC 5300, works great.

Snagger: I was concerned, like you, concerning the complexity of the pinpoint locators but don't let them scare you off.
I just got my new ranger equipped with the networked pinpoint system and was going through the operation of the console 7520 and it is a lot easier than I thought. For each option or setting on the system set up there is a "help" box you can reference and it tells you what the option or function is for and how to use it. It's great and a lot simpler than I ever thought it would be. So far I have just operated it in the garage but plan on breaking in the motor this week end.
Good luck and good fishing, miket!
I have a Tournament Master HR and I love it. I was going to get the NCC 5300 but couldn`t justify the downriggers to go with it at $800 a pop so I settled on the HR. I also got the GPS to go with it and also love the many options on the unit. Get the best. Get Bottomline.
