Maybe you can help me i got a 15HP omc i want to mount on the back of my boat for trolling and for back up i got a 115HP omc as a main motor does it matter what side starboard or port it is mounted on starboard would be better for me i cant see which side would make a diffice thanks to any one who replys

I like mine on the starboard side also. The only problem with it is it seems like the boat is out of balance - all the weight is on one side.

It depends on where you can be most comfortable operating it (right or left handed) and where you might have transponders or other gear mounted on your transom. On a smaller boat, you may prefer to mount it on the opposite side that you plant you seat to drive the boat for balance, althought the 120# or so of the motor may not matter.
