I have a 1998 15Hp Mercury 4 stoke kicker & have had the bracket that holds the motor up brake twice(I do use a strap). I also find the thing awkward to lift back up into position after trolling.
Ive looked at a Panther motor lift 35 & like it.
Are there any other suggestions out there?
Thanks in advance,
Bruce

There is only one choice in my opinion, the Panther model 35. In case you disagree with me, I have a MinnKota lift still in the box I'll sell you.

Besides being a great support for your engine the Panther 35 gives you the ease of a power lift. No more worrying about hanging over the back of the boat to lift the engine. If you get the Panther make sure to get the pro strap.
Good luck!
Go with the Panther, it's the best and with their pro strap, you don't need to mess with a ratchet strap. Drop and fish with nothing to take off. Lift and go with nothing to put on. They simply work.

Rooster, personally I would go with the BRACKET PRO kicker bracket. Very low cost when compared to the Panther unit. Installs in 15 minutes with a couple of wrenches. Since there is no wiring or hydraulics involved there is no chance of it breaking or not working when you need it the most. I run one on my boat and its the best I have ever used.

I have seen both the panther lift and the bracket pro, i believe that the bracket pro is a very nice setup. The panther is nice but it is pricy. Also the way the bracket pro is designed it looks like to me a very strong support. If I didn't want to spend the money but get the support for a lift I would get the bracket pro it has just as much support if not more. They have one at the marina that I go to and they are very popular, a lot of people like them because they are so easy to use, and believe me when you put the bracket on and strap it, i wont move! "That is from what I have seen at the marina." So all in all the panther is very nice but it is a little more expensive than the bracket pro that does just the same job but it is manual instead of electric. "Just my opinion."!!!
I have a Panther Model 35. Love it and it is really the standard when it comes to Power Kicker Motor Lifts. Also the setback it provides offers benefits in certain situations.
If you don't want a power model, the BracketPro is a good manual support bracket.
It is really a manual vs. power decision.

Hi Robert, it was very nice meeting you on the phone
today. You surely have sold me on Bracket Pro. Strong
built, easy to install, lifetime warrenty and does the
job to protect my kicker. The price is certainly right
also compared to the others that do the same thing. Be

The Bracket Pro is the best support on the market today. It comes with a lifetime warranty and you will not get any better support from any other lift. You will be very satisfied with it and it won't cost you $500.
