I have a lowrance LMS350A, I would like to use for my bow mount depthfinder. I am placing transducer on trolling mt( min kota 101,36 volt) and have a terrible interference problem.I have talked both Manufacturs and followed their grounding ideas(drill hole in skag to run seperate ground wire, ground neg batteries together,(I have seperate Bat for mt & depht) seperate wiring) The problem seems to be a harmonic current generated by max-e-miser( plusating DC current)and whenever a transducer gets within 5 ft IN WATER OR OUT the screen gos black. I love this Troling Mt. I love this Depth Finder NEED HELP SOON

I run a similar combo LMS 350A with a 65 lb minkota auto pilot. I put a boot on the trolling motor housing, (off of a no hub plumbing connector) then I grounded the trolling motor batteries to the hull. No problem with interferance at all. You may want to make sure your ASP levels are set correctly. Also you may want to try another transducer if you continue to have problems. Hope this gets you started.

The only way that I have found to completely rid yourself of a problem like this is to remove the transducers from the motor and mount them on a swing arm from tite lok. I did this off the gunner to the right of where I sit. If this is not far enough, you may need to experiment a little. I have been through this many times on 3 different boats, and talked to some of the best around. This has been the best solution for me with how clean I want my graphs to run.
