THIS THING JUST GET CRAZIER AND CRAZIER! TODAY OUT OF SHEER BOREDOM I WENT TO THE GARAGE AND PUT IN THE MMC WITH THE 5 LAKE MAPS I BOUGHT FROM NAVIONICS. THE FIRST MAP I WENT TO WAS WINNIBIGOSH,I STARTED TO ZOOM IN AND EXPECTED TO LOSE ALL DATA AT 4.23 MILES,BUT IT DIDNT! I WAS ABLE TO ZOOM ALL THE WAY DOWN TO .53! WHICH REALLY WAS PRETTY GOOD DETAIL! THEN I ZOOMED OUT TO ABOUT 133 MILES TO WHERE I COULD SEE LEECH AND THE WHITEFISH CHAIN. I MOVED THE CURSOR DOWN TO LEECH. THEN I STARTED TO ZOOM IN... WITH MY FINGERS CROSSED... I GOT TO 4.23 AND I WAS HOLDING MY BREATH.... I HIT THE ZOOM IN BUTTON ONE MORE TIME AND ###### I LOST ALL THE DATA! THEN OVER THE NEXT HOUR I SAT THERE AND PLAYED WITH MY NEW TOY. OVER AND OVER AND OVER BETWEEN LEECH AND WINNI AND WHITEFISH CHAIN AND MILLE LACS. BACK AND FORTH,BACK AND FORTH,SOMETIMES IT WORKED JUST FINE AND OTHER TIMES IT WOULDNT! I STARTED A LOG, AND THEN WHEN IT WORKED GOOD AFTER FAILING CONSISTANTLY WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT LAKES,I QUIT WRITING DOWN THE DETAILS AND I GAVE UP. WHEN IT WORKS I LOVE IT,WHEN IT DOESENT I HATE IT. IT'S LIKE GIVING A CRYING BABY A RATTLE AND TAKING IT AWAY!!!

Yea same with me.I took it to work and played with for a/b 4hrs..
same as you,It's a bitter sweet thing.Called Lowrance Monday,they told me monday night the update would be on their web site.Sat up late waiting like a little kid on christmas.So I called again this morning,they said maybe Thursday.Then just for the heck of it I called again,they said maybe Tuesday tonight.What a joke! Does anyone know how long it takes to put a patch on a web page?
Better yet how a/b getting a straight answer from Lowrance.
Does anyone have the 1.7 version? I wonder if you can copy it and send it to all of us that don't have it.Wonder if that would work.LOL..Well let's hope they have it in 24 hrs.

I got the same story as you did Moose. They told me Saturday that it would be out Monday night at the latest. So called back today to bug em some more. The guy I talked to this time claims the software has been released to the technicians and they are testing it out. Wouldn't give me a definite date except to say "keep checking back". Starting to P*SS me off!

BITTER SWEET FOR SURE! WHAT I SAW WHEN IT WAS WORKING RIGHT THIS AFTERNOON WAS VERY PLEASING. WHAT I WAS DISAPPOINTED ABOUT EARLIER;NOT BEING ABLE TO ZOOM PAST .53,REALLY DIDNT BOTHER ME TODAY. MAYBE IM JUST GETTING HARD UP BUT IT SEEMED CLOSE ENOUGH. ALTHOUGH I COULD SEE THAT IN SOME AREAS WHERE DROPS ARE STEEP THAT .1 WOULD BE NICER. ANOTHER THING I WOULD LIKE TO SEE(AARON)WOULD BE A PAGE SOMEWHERE THAT I COULD READ SEASON SPECIFIC DATA ABOUT CERTAIN HOTSPOTS LIKE ON THE BACK OF THE FHS MAPS. MIGRATORY DATA SO TO SPEAK. AND NOW SOMETHING ELSE I WOULD LIKE TO FIND OUT IS WHEN THIS MAP IS DISPLAYED DOES IT REALLY SHOW ME ON THE MAP AND LEAVE A TRAIL WHERE I HAVE BEEN? AND CAN I PLACE ICONS ON THE MAPS I HAVE ON THE MMC FROM NAVIONICS AND OR MOVE THEM AROUND OR DELETE THEM? AND ONE THING I NOTICED TODAY WAS THAT WHILE I WAS IN THE GARAGE WITH NO LIGHTS ON AND THE BACKLIGHTING OFF I COULDNT FIND A WAY TO ENHANCE THE SCREEN SO THAT I COULD SEE IT WELL. SEEMS I HAD TO HAVE THE BACKLIGHT ON INSIDE THE GARAGE. MAN I CANT WAIT TO HIT THE WATER. I HAVE BEEN LAID OFF FOR A MONTH AND A HALF NOW, AND I SUPPOSE NOW THAT THE ICE IS OFF I WILL GET CALLED BACK TO THE SALT MINE!!!

Here's a question for anyone who has the navionics MMC with both Winnebago map & Poygan, Winneconne, Butte des Morts map. Does your screen fail to show you the whole map right where the two map border cross each other. On mine(and this is beside the fact that I lose my whole screen), when I zoom to check out the Jefferson Park boat launch i only get half the screen. It cuts out right where the two maps overlap. Anyone else having this problem also?

well i think i found the key! i thought well instead of sitting around and mopeing (sp?) that i might as well start transfering my waypoints from my explorer handheld, one after another,after another after another, man what a long process! a guy should be able to plug one into the other and alakazam! oh ya right, i'll get to the point, when i entered my waypoints and then hit the exit button i had four options and one of them was "find waypoint on map" so i hit that button and wow that was cool the screen blinked and there i was at like 66miles and some change. and i thought i want a closer look so i started to zoom... one click after antother... and i mantained contact all the way to max. zoom!!!! yipppeee dipppeee!! it works. and you know what i bet the techs don't even know about this!! i bet they are pullin their hair out. LOL LOL!! so unless this is just a fluke... i think the mystery is solved. at least this one! hey you guys try adding some waypoints to your maps and see what happens, hopefully im not crazy!!
