For those of you who are using the AIO mount with your Pinpoint (Hans, Steves, and others), could you look at a few pictures I took to verify that I'm doing it right? I took these at the request of AIO and emailed them, but haven't heard back. I'd like to bolt this chunk of hardware to my bow tonight, but want to wait to make sure I've connected it right first. Pictures are online at www.climbing-guides.com/aio
Thanks,

That all looks right to me.
Couple of points.....
I mounted the boat-side plate using all 8 holes, not just the four. (Just happened to have 4 additional spacers the same height as the ones AIO supplied.) Just didn't feel right having all that weight on four 1/4-inch bolts.
I didn't drill that extra hole yet. When I retract, I want to bring the motor inside the hull profile. That places the locking pin beyond the boat-side plate, so I just lock it down with the set screw on the side.

Do you feel that's strong enough to support it during runs? Or do you leave the mount extending over the bow when running? ...and just retract it when approaching the dock? Seems like two of those set screws--one on each side--would be better.
Thanks for the info.
The only time I retract the motor is when trailering, or if in a tight situation at the dock. I don't retract for running across the lake.

Pictures look the same as mine as well..I drilled my hole exactly were you are pointing to on the end of the AIO bracket..I installed mine to the boat with 6 screws 2 front 2 middle and 2 in back. I used the pinpoint supplied rubber mounts that push thru 1/2 holes and then added an additional spacer washer on top of that to give me some additional clearance, I also had to cut off the corners off the rubber washers so they wouldn't rub against the AIO slide rail..I prefered using the pinpoint washers because they help protect the fiberglass holes from wearing, I then put lock nuts on the bottom of the screws to further ensure that the bolts could never fall through..Steve

I too am considering using the Pinpoint rubber washer-mounts, since they're half the height of the AIO-supplied ones. With the height of the AIO bracket plus the extender bracket, a 60" shaft loses several inches pretty fast.
Thanks all for your help and sanity check.
