I have a choice of packages with either a 2000 17'Angler SS or a 1997 17' Angler SS. The '97 is brand new and carries $3500 savings. Could somebody tell me the differences in the two; such as the layout of the boat, the hull, etc. The difference in price will allow me to go with a larger 4-stroke motor instead of a smaller hp 2-stroke. Price is a concern, but I don't want a downgrade in quality.
Thanks for the info,
Dave O

I GOT A 99 SS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE LUND COMPANY WAS BOUGHT OUT BY SOMEONE?? I`M NOT GOING TO TELL YOU NOT TO BUY THE NEWER ONE BUT MAY WANT TO CHECK THE QUALITY FROM ONE TO THE OTHER.CHECK THE NUMBER OF RIVETS AND SCREWS USED.IWOULD SERIOUSLY THINK OF MAKING THE 4 STROKE A PRIORTY,IN THE LONG RUN THIS GOING TO BE THE DIFFERENCE IN RESALEDOWN THE ROAD.BY THE YEAR 2006 ALL O/B WILL BE 4 STROKE.I WISH I WOULD`VE KNOWN THAT BEFORE I BOUGHT.THE YEAR ISN`T GOING TO MAKE THAT BIG OFADIFFERENCE IF ONE HAS MORE OF WHAT YOU WANT AS FAR AS EQUIPMENT AND PLACEMENT OF IT.MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT!GOOD LUCK !

the 2000 model is a much bigger boat. longer, wider, deeper.

the 2000 is a much stronger boat. the 97 is constructed like the 1700 pro sport. The 2000 is constructed similar to a Pro V.
