I am one of the very lucky individuals who's fiance is as excited about me trying to make it as a professional fisherman as I am.
I was getting ready to go to Erie for a few days last week and needed to tie up some harnesses. Julie has helped me tie worm harnesses in the past and offered to do this while I worked on the boat. She tied all of the colors I asked plus a special "Easter spinner" for me to try. This spinner consists of 2 purple beads, a pink float, one purple bead, a green float and then two more purple beads. I promised her I would try her "Easter spinner" and let her know how it worked.
Well with a #4 hammered gold blade, I hooked and lost a fish right away. I then hooked a very large fish that ended up breaking off. Yes, I tied another "Easter spinner" but did not have any more hits.
I did not get a chance to see the fish that broke off, but it was fighting like a very large walleye.
Just a fun little story I thought I would share.
