I recently purchased a new 1775 pro-v and have had her out about 6 times now. I notice a faint smell of gas when I open the storage compartments. I haven't seen gas anywhere in the hull or bilge though. Is this normal or do I have a problem?

Take the boat back to the dealer and have them check it over. You do not want to mess with gas fumes.

I agree with the above post, have it checked out. I thought I smelled gas in my 99 Sylvan, but I also could not find a leak, while digging around in the front storage compartment I lifted the carpet and the smell was really strong. I now believe it is the carpet cement used during consturction. Thanks
