Will the corps hold back more water in Yakton and above to releive the Mississippi ? Just wondering...

LAST EDITED ON Apr-18-01 AT 07:24PM (CST)[p]There is talk that the Corp may shorten the shipping navigation period up to 25 days, do to low water in all the big reserviors caused by a lack of mountain snow. Currently their not dumping alot downstream, with the Jim donating large quantity's along with the Big Sioux the shipping levels are OK for now. Later on will be a different story. Lots of attention to the Mighty Mo right now. Let's see support a 7 million dollar shipping industry or a 85 million dollar recreation industry? The Corp is having trouble figuring out which team to play on. North or South....
