Tough one to answer. Since you did not specify brand, size and tire model, it would be sheer luck to give you air pressure advice. On the other hand, assuming the trailer is outfitted with P-metric radials, start with about 30 psi and see what wear patterns develop after about 500 miles of trailering. If the outer edges seem to be wearing, up the pressure. Conversely, if the center of the tread seems to be wearing, then lower the pressure. Try 5 lb increments to start with. You can fine tune later. If your trailer is outfitted with bias belted tire, they may be specially designed trailer tires which usually carry a higher pressure rating. This is not to say that you will inflate them that high, but the typical air pressure of these tires is higher. Once again, you'll experiment with the pressure.

This is one of those "Why didn't I think of that?" solutions. It's from a 4X4 magazine a coworker brought to the job years ago. Mark across the tire's tread with chalk (carpenter's chalk works the best), and drive a few blocks. Turn a few corners on your trip. Look at the chalk. If it's wearing from the edges of the tire first, more air. If it's wearing from the middle first, less air. The magazine wasa concerned with oversized tires on Jeeps, but it works for trailers too.

Why not look at the tag on the trailer? Located on the frame somewhere behind the winch tower. Most all trailers that I've seen has this info on them. I think its 50 lbs. Worth a look! Tom

When I get my nose real close to my radial trailer tires, I see somthing like 'max press 30#'

I agree with Gone Again, look for the tag, unless it's gone for some reason. On my Eagle trailer the tag says my tires should be at 50 psi cold.

30#? Are those trailer tires? What's the letter in the size designation? LT stands for light truck, P for passenger car, I think real trailer tires say TS on them. I ask because my Goodyears are rated to be inflated to 55 or 60 lbs.

I just checked my Ranger 620 trailer tires yesterday and they said 50 psi
