It's on the Lowrance web site, has anyone installed it? How does it look? Problems fixed? or new problems created?

I'll load it this weekend. I assume it will fix the temperature sensor problem in the last update (mine was reading a consistent 80 degrees in 44 degree water). The Lowrance tech rep said they were working on that last week and to watch for an update.

I found out that you can only have the navionics or the mapcreate in, otherwise it'll lock up.I took one out of the tray and it worked fine.

I downloaded the new software and I still lose my map where it intersects. I think that is Navionics problem. If anybody has the Winnebago & Poygan, Winneconne, Butte des Morts maps on the same MMC please email me if you have the same problem. Thanks
Lance
P.S. It would be nice if would zoom in closer than 1.05 miles

I just got off the phone with Andy from Navionics. Just today, Lowrance and Navionics figured out another software problem. The Lowrance software cannot, for some reason, display overlapping maps at close range. He said it was just discovered today, so hopefully another software upgrade will be in sight very soon.

That problem has been in existence for several years with their world maps and smart maps. When you are on Rainey Lake (part in Canada, part in the US)and have a northern Minnesota Smart map in and world map for the Canadian side, the maps disappear as you approach the border. I reported that two years ago to lowrance and also talked with one of their representatives at a sports show about it. He implied that they knew about it and were working on a fix at that time. I'm not surprised that the same thing happens with a navionics hot map.

ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THE BIG SQUARE THAT SURROUNDS THE LAKE OF CHOICE OVERLAPPING ANOTHER BIG SQUARE THAT SURROUNDS ANOTHER LAKE OF CHOICE? I HAVE ONE LIKE THAT AND IT PERFORMS JUST FINE. LIKE THE SQUARE AROUND LEECH LAKE AND LAKE WINNIBIGOSH OVERLAP EACH OTHER AND I HAVE NO PROBLEM. AS FAR AS I KNOW!

I have that same problem with the overlap of Winnebago & Poygan, Winneconne, Butte des Morts. I just upgraded to v1.7.1 and every thing else seems to work. I was looking a little bay de noc and I see they put some bouys over dry land.

Tongue in cheek. I feel for you guys who are doing the troubleshooting for Lowrance. The only good thing about this situation is that you can download the software from Lowrance's web site. Just imagine if this was not the case. Hang in there, I hope these things get straightened out soon.

Well I just got my x15 and am wondering if I just download the latest and the greatest...ie. 1.7 ~ Will that bring me up to date? Or do I have to chase down all the other ones?
This unit better be worth it!!!!!!!!

Any new news... the waters open how do they work? If I download 1.7.1 is that the only one I have to download?

Version 1.7 should have all the other upgrades from the previous versions.
