Home Brew Canvas Repair

I drove my boat from Florida to Canada a few weeks ago and some of the canvas seams are ripping.

Anyone have ideas for a do-it-yourself repair job to get the boat 2000 miles home? I have thought of needle and thread, but a seamstress I am not.

Any ideas besides not using the cover?

I use those iron-on knee patches. Great for reinforcing the corners and high wear areas too.

I agree with the previous reply. I have used the iron patches a lot as my cover is geting older. I put the patch on the inside to look the best.

Now....does my wife still have an iron. Haven't seen her use one in years! You know, with all this perma-press stuff.
