Hey Grampa Joe,

Were you at Little Bay? If you are gonna be at Oconto look me up at the rules meeting.

I was wrong in my post about the prop on my boat. I am running a 21 pitch Tempest. I get about 5700 rpm at WOT.

I talked with the Merc Guys, the Merc Techs and the Ranger Guy (Thanks Frank for the help with the truck wirirng) at length at the tourney, and they all agreed. The 21 p Tempest is the prop for the 620, the way mine is set up (No jackplate).

Talk to you soon.......R

That's kind of what I thought. I haven't heard of anyone running anything else (with much success) on a Merc. I'm running the same RPM's with a Panther jackplate and the same prop.
I was at LBDN although we didn't do very well. It's a cool chunk of water and I'll be back. I may run out just to fish in a month or so if it's not $5/gallon for gas by then!
I can't make Oconto but I'll be at Lake City. Maybe I'll see you there??

Hey Grampa Joe,

You bet! We had a little problem and a lot of fun at Little Bay. Doin' great the first day, 4 fish- 17.10 pounds. The little problem, no keepers the second day and the run to and from our spots took over 3 1/2 hours due to the rough conditions. Sure made for a real short fishin' day. The fun was, we fished the tourney.

That's tournament fishing for ya!

Talk to you at Lake City.............R
