Boatohio has a new "ask the expert" forum section. Go to www.boatohio.com and click on boaters forums, then click on "ask the expert". Hey it was their idea to call me an expert, I don't know what that makes the 36 guys that beat me in the RCL. But I'm sure Ness or Swat or Den will have an idea. I hope to get a little activity going.

I'll check out the "ask the expert section". ETT, you've been a big help to me on my trolling in walleye central. Thanks for all the information that you shared. Would you do anything different if you could fish day three over again in the RCL?

ETT, you are as much of an expert on erie as anybody i know. you give tips and help on questions to all. it takes a special kind of person to do that. i just hope you forget some of that information this saturday. good luck and good fishin. see you sat.

Believe me, I've thought about that a lot! I went to spot that I can always catch a few 5 pound fish, they were there but they didn't want to go. I moved to cleaner water with fewer fish and got the one. Then with time running out I took a little swing over some spots that could have been full of fish, but weren't. I was fishing for 3 bites, and got 2 but 1 was a 5-1/2 pound smallie. In short I gave it my best shot, and wouldn't know what else to do, if I had a "do over". Where I caught the 1 was the same place day 3 leader caught his 5. Oh well... next time!!

Cool, ETT. I'll have to check it out tonight. As far as your
placement in the RCL, dear, please remember that fishing is 50%
luck, 25% how the beast and the weather are feeling, 20% prayer,
and 5% skill... Now smile and kick some butt in tomorrow's tourney.... but not Den's :-)

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to let you win it for the second time. Don't know if I can fit it in my schedule though so you might have a chance.. LOL :) You know I'm kidding....

Great news ETT. You are a class act and I'm happy for you! As for the expert part I personally think that sums you up pretty fairly.

Sincerely,

Uh, Jim, I been wondering -- why aren't the sheepies hitting??? :-)

You know really the number of sheephead does seem to be down. They weren't near the problem last year that they were the year before, although inside the bar out of Lorain is an excellant spot if your looking for July sheephead, some real dandies there. Good Luck with them and (I really mean it this time) Catch a whole bunch for me!!! LOL

When they are buggin you big time, it's hard not to have that opioion, but they may very well serve some function in the eco-system that is crutial to other species and even if we could irradicate them, it may not, in the end, be the thing to do.

Congrats Jim!

Hey, I never thought of you as anything but an expert. It's about time you got credit where credit is due...;-)

Good luck!

I agree, actually they seldom bother me that much. I generally practice C&R with them ;-)

So, that's where you been hanging out?
Sounds interesting, I will surely check it out.
Jim, you gotta be the crank bait (ReefRunners , especially)
expert if there ever was one!
When is your Ranger coming?

Terry,
The delivery date was in June. With 2002 being avalable in July I decided to wait and not have to set up a new boat next year. The demand for 620s must have been quite good.

Ranger,
Thank you kindly also. Don't know how I missed you before.

I tried to, but the lake kicked ours instead! We got 1fish for 8.2 pounds. Next time.

I should have stayed home and done yard work.
