I tried something recently as was quite surprised by the outcome.
We took some spinnerbait skirts in chartreuse/white/yellow and put them on our jigs and trimmed them to within an inch of the hook. We didn't use the traditional twister tails or worms. The action these had in the water was awesome.
The walleye DOVE on them!!! We fished the Detroit River to try them out and did VERY WELL!!
The action is great. We slid a Northland rattler onto the hook also.
Anyone else tried this method before?
Going back tomorrow(Tuesday) will post how I did as I will be soloing it.(nobody can go)
