After listening to how happy alot of you are with the Stradic reel I am going to try one (diehard Daiwa user 20+ years), however a question-which rod would you suggest for jigging? I was thinking of the 6'6" ML as the freebie to go with it. Oops forgot to say this is the Bass Pro offer. Thanx Alot.

There is nothing wrong with the Extreme rods, only that they are a Bass Pro product, and I have, in the past, had trouble with them replacing unsatisfactory product. I would go to the 6'6" Avid St. Croix in the Medium action, with a fast tip. If jigging is what you are going to use this for, you will be more satisified with a medium action rather than a medium light.

I have the Stradic 2000 on the Extreme medium 6'6" and like it fine. Most of my jigging with it is 3/8 oz. stuff. John.
