Now that the lakes and rivers are open and fishing is in full swing, I would like to take a moment to say good luck and be safe to all, this fishing season. I have met so many wonderful people through fishing tournaments and boat landings and just being on the water in general that I cant wait to be on the water again.

One thing I would like to ask everyone is if you see some kid casting at the dock or breakwater. Take a few moments of your time and give them a pointer or two. Someone did this for me when I was a youngster and it really made a big difference in my life. If your out there. Thanks Mike. I still have some of the orange jig heads you gave me 20 years ago.

And if you see some garbage at the boat landing take a moment to pick it up. A clean boat landing is really nice to see.
Thanks :<)

Offer a hand at the launch!
See if the person at the ramp wants your extra bait?
Tell um where you found um.
Or, tell what you caught um on!

Schmitty heres a for instance, fishing last fall with my nephew
for Kings off a pier, the sun was getting high and we had only caught two and we were about to leave when a lad of about 14 came down with one zebco spincast rod and a old single tray plano, with 4 lures on his bike with no net. Called him down to the "spot"Stuck around should he hook up, and within a half hour he snagged up his favorite and broke off. Dejected he went to his bike leaving. His lure had floated up and we were able to fish it back. Stop him as he was pedaling off had him come back for his lure whereupon he rigged and started fishing again and within twenty minutes caught a 22lb fresh hen king. Took his picture with him and his fish and my nephew holding his first king.
One of my best days fishing of my 40years of!!

Share and care for it. For sure.
