Older Mercury outboard info requested

I have an old merc. outboard that I don't know how old it is. It says mercury and Kiekafer on it, and is red in color with silver horizontal stripes on the cover. It has a white lower unit. the info plate says it's a model-mark 30. SN1083161. I would like to know the approx. year and what it's worth. It runs, and is in pretty good shape really. My guess is its about a '58 or '59. I have a Mark 25, '57, and it is green, believe other colors came out a year or so later. The mark 25 is a 20 hp, believe yours is maybe 25 hp. Mine still screams - these motors were in demand as racers, may still be. Bill

I've got a Mark 75 that the dealer said it was a 1958 or 59. Which I think is a 60hp.
