I have a Minnkota 42# Power Drive troll motor that refuses to turn to the right. If I continually play with it I sometimes get it to work, however most times it will not. Please if anyone has had a simular problem and was able to get it resolved, let me know what to do.
Thanks.....
Well, this may sound stupid but try dropping the entire pedal into the water. It worked for me until I got a new one! Keeping the thing wet seemed to fix the problem.

Just a thought,
Have you checked the switch? There could be someting blocking ther switch pedal. Sometimes the get dislodged a bit and don't want to work at all, or will just start spinning the motor and not stop.
Good luck........R

This happened to me a couple of years ago. I took apart the foot pedal and cleaned all of the contacts and it solved the problem. Now I do it once each spring and have had no more problems. I originally got the information from this web site.
I've experienced the same problem with 2 different MK's. It's usually dirty contacts in the foot pedal. Sometimes it's so bad you need a new pedal, but if you clean it every so often it should work well.

Check the connection plug. That was the problem with mine. I just bent the prungs so they made better contact.
