I have a 94 Sylvan with a 150 hp Merc. Last summer the steering became stiff and hard to turn particularly under full acceleration. During the winter I replaced the two Teleflex cables. There still appears to be a lot of play in the steering wheel. I cannot see any way to adjust the preload or the gear lash. I can replace the column, but I hate to give up the tilt feature. Any suggestions? Your help is appreciated. Thank You.
