Recently hit a deer with my aluminum boat (what luck). The boat is dented and I wanted to get it fixed. Nobody in town will touch it. Wanted to know the name of someone in the Green Bay/Fox River Valley area who repairs aluminum boats? Name and phone number would be great. Thanks!

Was the deer swimming at that time or were you towing?

I did the same several years back while towing. 10 point buck! Never was able to get it right and sent the boat to the scrapyard after insurance co totaled it. Deer knocked my rig completely off the trailer, broke the winch strap, safetey chain and transom tiedown. Broke the welds on the trailer and the skeg and prop were also trashed as the boat went sliding down the pavement. Not a pretty sight in the rear view mirror to see the whole rig flying through the air. Got out and shot the deer and the gal I was dating at the time who was fishing w/ me, never spoke to me again as a result. I guess she would rather he just laid there w/ a broken back. If your damage is above the water line and does not affect the ride of the rig, a good body shop should be able to make it pretty again. If the damage is more extensive, it may need to go back to the manufacturer. Often the repair will be as much as a new boat so this may be a good excuse to upgrade.

Was that 10 point eastern or western count? Mule deer or white tail? The question that begs to be asked; what caliber was the boat? ;-)

That's why I got me an Alumacraft. That 2XB hull gives you added protection in the event of deer - boat collision. What's your boat, a Princecraft or something?
