I have an '89 25hp Merc. pull start and would like to put an elctric starter with a altenator on it. Is this possible and about how much will it cost. Thanks for any info.

Not sure for that year, but it cost me about $550 to put one on my 97 9.9hp 4 stroke. That was parts only as I did it my self. I'd check the parts express area at ###.mercurymarine.com. You give it your zip code and serial number and then it shows you what you can buy. It would be in the acessories area I seem to remember. You will need electric starter kit and either the remote controls or tiller starter button kit.
