Hello All

I have been working on my uncles motor for a while now and cant get it to run right. So he took it to a motor machainic and when he got it back we still had the same problem, but the motor did start and idle better. The problem that i am haveing is When we start the motor everything is fine, and as long as it is in nuetral and rev it up it runs great, BUT when we put in in forward and take off everything is also ok UNTILL we give it full trottle, and then it cuts out and dies, but it will start back up. If i take off at full throttle and put my fingers over the carb hole and cut off most of the air then it runs great. As soon as i take my fingers away from the hole it cuts back out and dies. I figure that there is a adjustment for this but i dont know where it is. Any help is appriciated.

Thanks Tuck_Junior

Sounds like it's running too lean; back the air/fuel mixture screw out a half turn or so and see if it improves. If a half turn doesn't do it, give it another half turn. If that doesn't work, you may need to rebuild the carb.
Good Luck

Sounds like an air leak to me make sure all the gaskets around the intake and carb are good.
This condition ussually shows up either ware the carb meets the intake or ware the intake meets tha block.
Good luck
