I am looking for a abrasion resistant clear or high vis mono. Excalibar clames to be tough and abrasion resistant. Any info would be appreciated. thanks

I used it last year for a while and found it alright at first but had abrasion problems just like any other mono line. I had problems with in snarling up after a few days of use. I went back to my original stren 8#.

I used Excaliber, previously. Found it hard to get this year. Have used Tritanium, by Sufix USA, this past week with excellent results. It is highly abrasion resistant, much like the Excaliber. 10# is .28mm diameter. I could not find it locally, in WI. Call 1-800-554-1423, and talk to Dave Justice. www.sufix.com I don't think I could tell the difference between Tritanium or Excaliber. Good Luck!!!

Excalibur fishing lines last I knew would be premiun copolymer, monofilament polyester blend, one over the other. Excalibur clear is clear and copolymers tend to be limper and have smaller diameters than mono of same test. But are less tolerant of abrasion, sunlight, and excessive stretch the " number one enemy" of any line other than twist somedays. Bass Pro Shops may still carry it. Their Excel is copolymer at a good price, I use copolymers for the limpness in finnesse applications. Tends to float a little also.
