I recently got a used Humminbird Super 60 flasher and have found that both the power and transducer plugs are different than my old Super 60. The unit looks like new, and certainly appears to be a more recent model than my original. I can adapt my old power cable to work, but not the transducer. Does anyone know the model number(s) for transducers that work with the later model Super 60 flasher? I've written Humminbird asking this question, but they haven't answered.

Homer try Marine Electronics in Port Clinton, Ohio. Roger can get whatever you need. 419-734-5538. I just got a new transducer for and old colormatic flasher that no one else could find from him.
If that does not work you might better off to buy a new super sixty.

Homer,

Humminbird has made several different models of the Super Sixty Flasher. Although we no longer make them. We still have some of the accessories for some of them. You will need to be able to describe what the connectors look like to get the right ones. You stated that you had written us asking for the transducer model numbers - they didn't nickname it "snail-mail" for nothing. Try calling our Customer Support folks ((334) 687-0503) or e-mailing your question at our web site (www.humminbird.com) or even to me (greg.walters@humminbird.com).

I e-mailed Humminbird a week ago with those same basic questions and didn't receive a reply. Let me get the info from a couple of flashers on my workbench along w/ the serial #'s and maybe you will be able to shed some light on it. I know the connection for the transducer is a "bnc" style and the flasher is marked as "Tom Mann". I'm trying to find model numbers for both the wide and narrow cone angle trolling motor transducers and also for the transom mount.

I think I just found the "REW" of the Humminbird world. Greg gave me enough info to fill a book this afternoon on transducers. I tried to post earlier but WC seems to be having a return of the "SLOWS". I'll bet Scott is tearing more of his hair out again!

If you own a Humminbird product, bookmark Greg's address and jot down the number for information. Thanks again for the help, Greg.

Greg:

I sent you an e-mail on Monday, and it just bounced back to me today as "undeliverable". Was the e-mail address in your above post correct? I had originally submitted my question at the Humminbird web site (no response yet), but now have a digitial picture of the back of the new unit if that will help. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Homer,

Yes that looks like the correct e-mail address. We have been doing some remodeling in the same building that houses our computer department. I don't know if that was why your message did not go through. I do know that I did receive e-mail on Monday, so it was working at least part time although I had a time sending files to our office in Atlanta. By the way, I did not see your e-mail address or I would have contacted you directly, so you will have to try e-mailing me again.

This is our busiest time of the year for our Customer Support folks. So it may take a few days to get a reply from them.

Send me the picture of the back of you flasher and I can tell you what model(s) of transducer(s) to look for and if we have them or not.

OK, I just re-sent the e-mail; once with and once without the pictures attached. If it turns out that the pictures are causing the problems, I'll find a way to post them on the internet for you to see.

My e-mail address is dwd@limno.com

Consider this an unsolicited plug for Humminbird and the technical support that Greg gave me. As Larry said in the previous post, he knows his stuff inside and out and was a whole world of help to me.
