what did they quote you? sometimes dealers try to cut a deal on 2000 motors/boats especially this time of year. a friend bought a demo motor from our local lund dealer (never used) and paid 1800.00 less. doesnt make sense but they are in buisness, especially if you want a lund, theyve got you by the shorthairs....

That's simple! One dealer wants to retire this year, And the other plans to retire after next season. I only had a $1500 difference in qoutes from dealers in my area. They must plan to be around for a few years. Whoa, scary isn't it!
Then you are supposed to nod your head and smile when the salesperson says" You know we don't make a thing on these boats" YEE Hah. I hate that line. Good Luck <;{{{{{<<(

The size of the dealership and amount he sells will determine what kind of volume discount he gets. If one dealer sells more he buys the boat and motor cheaper. He may also get a package deal from the boat manufacture cheaper than buying a boat blank and a loose motor from the motor manufacture. the bottom line in this world is he that buys the most pays the least.

Do yourself a favor - don't buy from the overpriced dealer and tell all of your friends the same thing. That is what the free enterprise system is all about. If products don't sell at a specific price - the prices come down, until they do sell.
